WUMC Singles: If you are a single adult
age 40 or above, please plan to join us
for our Crazy Bridge Mixer (no knowledge
of bridge is necessary) in the Dixon
Lounge on Friday, August 20, at 6:30 pm. There will be a modest charge for

- WUMC teachers save the date! Our next Teachers "TLC" will be held on Saturday, August 28 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Contact Heather Sass at hlsass@columbus.rr.com or 614-847-5865 with questions.
- Follow Rev. David Hoffman on Twitter as he travels to the Congo! Simply go to the Web site www.twitter.com/hoffmancongo. You do not have to "sign up" for twitter to read David's tweets. Pastor David will post as often as possible while he is in Africa, with a West Ohio Conference mission team, August 9-19.
- WUMC Swim Party!!! On Sunday, August 29, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, bring your family to the Worthington Pool located on Dublin-Granville Road for a swim party and potluck. All are welcome to attend. For more information, contact the church office at 614-885-5365 oroffice@worthingtonumc.org.
- Please check the table in the Welcome area for miscellaneous items that have been left in the kitchen. We may have something of yours that you are missing at home!
- Beginning Sunday, September 19, new and returning Adult Classes are offered at our 10:40 am Sunday School hour. Choose from "Beginnings – Beginner's Faith Study" (New), "Down to Earth" (New), Becoming Well–Versed, Open Door and Faith in Literature Book Study. Descriptions of these classes will be available in the September Messenger.

This Week's Committee Meetings and Happenings:
- On Tuesday, August 10, Finance meets at 6:30 pm, Devotions are at 7:15 pm, followed by Outreach and Hospitality Committee meetings at 7:30 pm.
- On Friday, August 20, the WUMC Singles Group's "Crazy Bridge Mixer" is from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
- On Saturday, August 21, the Saturday Morning Concert begins at 10:00 am.
Parish Concerns:
- Jack Pettit's brother, Tom Pettit, died on August 9. Please keep the Pettit family in your prayers.
- Please keep our Associate Pastor David Hoffman in your prayers as he travels in Africa.
- Katie Chadwell and Ryan Portz were married on August 14 in the Sanctuary. Best Wishes!
