- Position Open: Administrative Assistant/Membership Secretary position is open at the Worthington United Methodist Church. If interested in this position, please email slm@worthingtonumc.org and an application will be sent to you. Completed applications are due in by Monday, August 16th.
- Join Us at the Vacation Bible School Potluck Picnic this Friday, at 5:30 pm, on the front lawn of the church to celebrate the week. Hotdogs, drinks and table service will be provided. - Worthington United Methodist Church Audit Review Is Done!! Our Annual Audit Review is completed for 2009. Breen, Winkel and Green, LLP have completed the audit review and indicated that all was in order and the financial statements and records were well detailed. Copies of the Audit Review may be borrowed from the church office for perusal.
- Kitchen work is scheduled for Tuesday, August 3 and Wednesday, August 4, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. Come and spend a day or a half-day cleaning, sorting, and reorganizing areas of the kitchen. Plan to bring a lunch if you can stay the full day.
- Maynard-at-the Fair: Join Dave Hadley and Cyndy Garn in the ministry of Maynard UMC during the Ohio State Fair at their Hospitality Tent. A detailed schedule is posted on the Outreach bulletin board located by our library. Please contact Dave Hadley at 614-885- 6119 ordhads614@msn.com for more information.
- United Methodist Children Home’s 5K Race will be held on Sat., August 14, 8:30 am. Entry fee is $25 per person. You may run or walk, or just volunteer to help. For more information or to sign up, please call Pattie Charles at UMCH, at 614-885-5020, ext 552.
- Do You Need Help with Home Repairs or Yard Work? Our new Carpenter's Helping Hands Ministry is designed to help folks connected to our church who can't afford or aren't able to perform basic household repairs, yard work and other maintenance chores. Sign- Up forms are available in the Church Office and you must complete a form to receive help. Stop by the office or email office@worthingtonumc.org to receive a request form.
- Our July 15 Red Cross Blood Drive produced 28 units of blood. Thanks to all donors!
- Used clothing donations are always welcome at the New Life Clothing room, especially men’s jeans, shorts, t-shirts and pants hangers. Drop off your donations at the wooden boxes at the CPC entrance and we will make sure the items are taken to New Life.

This Week's Committee Meetings and Happenings:
- Today through Friday, June 30, Explorations is from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, and Vacation Bible School is from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
- On Tuesday, July 27, Education Work Area meets at 6:00 pm.
- On Thursday, July 29, the Web Site meeting is at 5:30 pm.
- On Sunday, August 1 our New Worship Schedule Begins: Summer Chapel Service is at 8:30 am, Traditional Worship is at 9:30 am, Fellowship Time is 10:30-11:30 am, Sunday School for all ages is 10:40-11:25 am, and Emerge Service is at 11:30 am. Join us!
Parish Concerns:
- Wilda Simpson passed away on June 30. Please keep the Simpson family in your prayers.
- Megan Heighton and Kyle Muller were married in the sanctuary on July 24. Best wishes!
