WUMC Weekly Update: June 7, 2010

New Worship Schedule Begins August 1
On Tuesday, May 25, the recommendation was received and accepted by the Administrative Council from the Sunday Morning Schedule Study Team. Their recommendation for us is based on expressed desires of the congregation. Thanks to all of you for your helpful input and insight. 82.5% of respondents like the initial suggestion to begin the morning one half hour later. When that idea was tested against flipping the services, 60.3% of respondents still preferred the option of a thirty-minute later start to the morning schedule.
Thus our new, year-round schedule will be:
9:30 am
Traditional Worship (& Children's Church)
10:30-11:30 am
Fellowship Time
10:40-11:25 am
Sunday School for all ages
11:30 am
Emerge Worship (& Children's Church)
We will begin this new schedule on August 1, the first Sunday of August. This schedule will allow us to return to an earlier morning Chapel Service during the summer, so in August we will have service in the Chapel at 8:30 am.
