Galactic Blast logo. VBS and EVBS and Explorations Sign up your children now for Galactic Blast VBS, July 26-30, 5:30-8:30 pm. Cost is $15 per child with a max of $40 per family and includes dinner for the whole family. VBS is for kids who are in preschool up to 3rd grade. Explorations is for kids who are in 4th-6th grade. Sign up in the Ministry Hallway this Sunday or online. Join us this summer!!

Spring Flowers. Memorial Day Sunday Flowers
You are invited to bring cut flowers in memory of loved ones to place in community vases during our opening songs at our 10:00 Blended Service on May 30.
Special Sunday Blended Worship on May 30
Mark your calendar now for our special Sunday Worship Schedule on Memorial Sunday, May 30. One Blended Service will be held at 10:00 am, with no Sunday School or Children’s Church. Child care for infants and toddlers will be available as usual. Our normal schedule of 9:00 worship, Sunday School for all at 10:10 and Emerge at 11:00 returns on Sunday, June 6.

  • On April 27, the Administrative Council approved the Finance Committee's recommendation to address the projected 2010 Operating Budget deficit of $138,000 by reducing 2010 Operating Budget expenses by $68,000 and by raising an additional $70,000 for 2010 Operating Budget income. Over the next several weeks, a plan will be formulated to implement this recommendation. — Jim Heilman, Chair, Finance Committee
  • Attention: Caregivers! Author Gail Sheehy will speak on Tuesday, May 25, 7:30 pm, at First Unitarian Universalist Church, in Clintonville. The presentation is intended to let caregivers know that they are not alone, and to help them feel better equipped to handle a very challenging job. Tickets are only $10.00.   • Today, Creative Play Center Board meets at 7:00 pm, and Staff Parish meets at 7:15 pm.
  • On Tuesday, May 11, Ruth Circle meets at 9:30 am, Finance and Children's Ministry Team meet at 6:30 pm, Devotions are at 7:15 pm, followed by Hospitality and Outreach meetings at 7:30 pm.
  • On Wednesday, May 12, Sarah Circle Luncheon is at 11:00 am (offsite) and Taizé Service is at 7:30 pm, in the Chapel.
  • On Thursday, May 13, Deborah Circle meets at noon (offsite) and Martha Circle meets at 7:00 pm.
  • On Friday, May 14, Bridge Group Potluck is at 6:30 pm, and WUMC Singles Dinner at Bravo is at 6:30 pm.
  • On Sunday, May 16, CRIS donations may be dropped off at the PODS unit in the church parking lot from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, Graduating Seniors Breakfast is at 10:00 am, and WUMC vs. First Alliance Softball Game is at 2:00 (Fancyburg Park, Upper Arlington). Juanita Kemp Memorial Service is at 2:00 pm, at Wesley Glen, 5155 High Street.
