WUMC Weekly Update: August 30, 2010
Meals for Moyers
While Children's and Youth Pastor Heather Moyers recovers from her foot surgery, we would like to provide her family with meals for the next few weeks. Meals will be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning August 26. If you would like to help out, please contact Amy Wingerter (wingerter@insight.rr.com or 614-840-0826). Thank you!

Adult Weekday Classes begin:
- Sermon Shaping: Tuesdays, 7:00- 8:00 am, Library. Begins Sept. 14.
- Invitation to Genesis: A Short Term Weekday Bible Study, Wednesdays, 10:00-11:30 am, Room 317, for 10 weeks. Cost is $11.00. Begins September 15.
- Disciple III: A Long Term Bible Study. Wednesdays, 6:30 pm, Room 317, 32 weeks. Cost is $35.00. Also described online! Email office@worthingtonumc.org to sign up!

This Week's Committee Meetings and Happenings:
- Today's SPRC meeting has been cancelled.
- On Tuesday, August 31, Education will meeting at 6:30 pm, Devotions will be at 7:15 pm, followed by Adult Council at 7:30 pm.
- On Thursday, September 2, the funeral for Lou Csillag is at 11:00 am, in the sanctuary, and the CPC Budget Meeting is at 7:00 pm.
- On Sunday, September 5, UMCH Dinner Outreach is at 5:00 pm, at the UM Chldren's Home. On Labor Day, Monday, September 6, the Church Office & CPC will be closed.
Parish Concerns:
- Reverend Alan Sippel's father, Carl Sippel, died on August 24. Please keep Alan, Suzanne and the Sippel family in your prayers.
- Marlene Csillag's husband, Lou Csillag, passed away on August 29. His funeral is Thursday, Sept. 2, at 11:00 am, in the sanctuary.
- Katie Zeller and Jeff Dietrich were married on August 28, in our sanctuary. Best Wishes!
- Alycen Mansell's granddaughter Elizabeth Louise Tarkin was born on August 17, in Cincinnati. Congratulations to the Mansell, Leggett and Tarkin families!
- Al and Mysa Mathews celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 27. Congratulations!
- Bruce and Carol Ellis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 27. Congratulations!
