The Ruth Circle

From the Hebrew name Re'ut, meaning Friend, Companion. UMW's Ruth circle is a relatively small group of closely-knit friends who get together to share fellowship and conversation. We meet monthly for interesting and informative programs, along with carrying out the business of the UMW.
In addition to circle meetings, Ruth members also attend chapter and district meetings, and participate in many ministries and outreach programs of the church. We provide sandwiches for the homeless and food for the pantries, and enjoy helping other circles serve meals and receptions and assist with the sorting and pricing during Trifles 'n Treasures. Several of us are also members of the Monday morning prayer group, while others deliver birthday gifts to the homebound. We are represented on the Ushering, Baptismal and Bereavement Committees, as well as the Choir.
It is so important to be a part of a small group in a large congregation, and we invite you to consider joining us. We meet at 9:30 am on the second Tuesday of each month, September through May, in Dixon Lounge. Please contact circle leader Jo Donham, 885-7199, if you would like more information.
