Becoming Well-Versed Class (Room 317)

Interested in relating the Sunday morning scripture lesson to your own daily life? Then this adult Sunday school class is for you! In Becoming Well-Versed, we study the text used in worship in a setting that expects questions and invites everyone to share their experiences. This class welcomes everyone whether you are new to the Bible or are already well versed. The class meets at 10:40 AM in Room 317. There is no prior preparation for the class. Grab a cookie and a cup of coffee then meet us as we learn together.

Open Door Class (Browning Lounge)

Open Door is an interactive class that examines what it means to live in today's world as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Through lively discussion of Scripture, inspirational readings, and informative speakers, the class addresses contemporary issues and current events from a spiritual perspective. Beginning September 19, the class will use Rob Bell's groundbreaking DVD series, NOOMA as an invitation to search and question. Join the discussion as we respond to these short films designed to see life's everyday issues through the perspective of Jesus.

Faith in Literature Book Study (Staff Lounge)

Faith in Literature is a discussion-based Sunday school class using both fiction and non-fiction literature as a vehicle to talk about our faith, led by Kristin Welcome-McKee. The class will begin a new book every four to eight weeks. On September 19, the Faith in Literature class will begin a new six-week unit, studying The Hiding Place, by Corrie Ten Boom, a book about the triumph of faith in the face of the evils of the holocaust. This study will include a visit by a speaker who aided in liberating a concentration camp.
