What a wonderful week is beginning as I write this article!

Exploration and Vacation Bible School are underway
Our youth have just shared about Reach-Out and Work Camp
Summer Lunches went well last week
Choirs will be singing and ringing soon
Bags of Blessings are being filled
Fall Education for all ages is revving up
Committees and team are meeting with eagerness
The list could fill this newsletter……

And Rally Day will be here very soon!

This will be my first Rally Day with you - September 13! We are going to have one service, a blending of Traditional and Emerge at 10:00 am. And combined with Rally Day will be a Ministry Fair and Interest Survey, designed so we can all learn more about what is offered here and also identify the areas of passion where you would like to serve. More details can be found in this newsletter issue. We hope you will make every effort to be present on this important day.

I continue to be amazed at the resources we have in this congregation – the talents, gifts, abilities, wisdom, finances, creativity, passion….. Indeed we are a blessed people. Thank you for being willing to share so that many can be blessed. One of the things I am beginning to hear in this place is that you would like more information on our financial situation. We will be working in the next few weeks to determine a good process for sharing with this congregation the current state of finances. I do believe that we can meet the challenges that are before us and end this year with all responsibilities fulfilled, but it will take us all stretching and working together.

As you consider your giving to God through Worthington UMC, consider the lives that are touched and changed through that which you help to provide. It doesn’t just happen by itself, but through your giving you help it and It is awesome!!

Be sure to be here on September 13, join together in the celebration, the fun, the meal, the Ministry Fair and let us know where you want to plug in to ministry here in this place at this moment!!
