The Journey of Lent through Holy Week and Easter

Palm Sunday, April 5: 9:00 am and 11:00 am Worship Services. Children's Choir will sing at 9:00 & 11:00 services. Sunday School for is at 10:10 am.

Taizé Service will be held in Potter Chapel on Wednesday, April 8, at 7:30 pm.

Maundy Thursday, April 9: Tenebrae Service, 7:30 pm, in the Sanctuary. Through music, scripture and Holy Communion, we will journey with Jesus from the triumph of Palm Sunday to the betrayal and rejections of this night.

Good Friday, April 10: Community Worship Service, at 12:00 noon - This service begins at Worthington Presbyterian Church, traveling to seven worship stations around the Village Green, experiencing the seven last words of Christ. The last station is in the cemetery at St. John's Episcopal Church, and WUMC will host a station.

Good Friday Service & Concert, 7:30 pm, in the Sanctuary, featuring Requiem, by Maurice Duruflé, presented by the combined choirs of WUMC and Linworth UMC, conducted by Dr. Robert Ward, with Dr. Linda Nolan, Organist.

Holy Saturday, April 11: Easter Vigil Service, 7:30 pm, in the Sanctuary. This ancient service of worship begins in darkness and moves us from the barren shadow of the cross to the brilliance of Christ's resurrection. The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated and the service concludes with Holy Communion, the feast of Christ's victory over death.

Easter Day, April 12: You are invited to bring some cut, fresh flowers of your choice to decorate the cross in the courtyard, in celebration of Easter.
9:00 am - Easter Worship Service, in the Sanctuary. This service features festive music with Chancel Choir, Organ and Brass. Everyone is welcome!
10:10 am - A Special Easter Communion Service, in the Potter Chapel, in the place of the normal Sunday School classes. Join us!
11:00 am - Easter Emerge Service, in the Sanctuary. Our "Emerge @ 11" service features energetic vocal and instrumental music with a contemporary flavor. Everyone is welcome!
