Dear 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Students,
It's time to register for 2011 Explorations!! The week will be full of fun (and wet!) surprises as we explore mission and outreach opportunities in our community before concluding the week with a day of fun at a water park!!
Explorations will run Monday, July 25 through Thursday, July 28 from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm each day. Then, on Friday July 29 we will combine with VBS at the Church to celebrate the week with our families with a cookout celebration from 5:30-8:30 pm. Cost for the week is $35 per child with a max of $65 per family. Participants will receive lunch daily (but please be sure to eat a good breakfast before you come each day ☺), Exploration tee shirt, and fun day at a water park.
Our destinations and activities are mostly secret, so to be prepared, please bring the following items in a backpack every day Monday through Wednesday (most of it will be useful Thursday, as well):
- refillable water bottle

church-appropriate swimming suit
(No 2-piece suits for girls, please) - towel
- sunscreen
- water shoes or old sneakers
- work/garden gloves
- hat
- GIRLS: clean rags/old towel

BOYS: bucket labeled w/ your name

- Complete the paperwork (Explorations registration and medical release—it is particularly important for us know about any food, pet, or hay fever allergies) and return it to Heather Moyers at WUMC.
- Invite a friend or neighbor to come along—the more the merrier!
** Parents, we are in need of plenty of volunteers to drive and chaperone during the week. Please let us know when you can help!! We're looking forward to sharing this experience with you!
